Mary Markwalter has been the director of the Mason City Public Library since April 2008.  Before coming to the library, she managed one of six library branches in Coffey County, Kansas, while acting as overall administrator for the previous four years.  Mary is a graduate of Marquette High School in Marquette, Illinois and the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.  She also holds a Master of Library Science degree from Emporia State University.
