The library offers free databases for your informational needs. By using your MCPL library card, you can access a variety of databases from your home computer. Use the back button on your browser to return to the MCPL website or open the research links in a new tab or window.

Footnote Footnote.com has thousands of records for all of your genealogy search needs.

Novelist Plus NoveList PLUS has a wide variety of information on books and authors, reading suggestions for both individuals and those involved in book discussion groups.

EbscoHost Icon Ebsco Host has links to to thousands of magazines and scholarly journals.  There are specialized searches for a variety of age groups and research projects.

Ebsco Hobbies and Crafts The Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center™ has instructions and patterns for many projects.  Included are projects for knitting, cake decorating, pottery, puppetry, woodworking, jewelry making, and more.
 
Home Improvement Reference Center The Home Improvement Reference Center™ has instructions and plans in order to do your own home improvements.

Auto Repair Resource Center Icon The Auto Repair Reference Center™ has information and instructions on auto repair for hundreds of car models.

small engine repair icon The Small Engine Repair Reference Center™ has information and instructions on repair for many types of small engines.

The Testing & Education Reference Center has information on colleges, schools, online learning opportunities, and educational programs.  Prepare for the GED, admissions exams, civil service and military entrance exams, licensing tests, and more.
 
Newspaper Archive Icon Access newspapers of the past at the Newspaper Archive.  This database is only available for use in the library building.
