Give Books to the Library
Document Actions
The library accepts gifts of gently used books, CDs and other material. If you are cleaning out your home or office, consider donating your used items to the library.
Library Donations
Recently published books, CDs, DVDs, and audio books that are in good condition are accepted as donations. We are unable to accept books that are moldy, mildewed, in poor condition, or out of date. Patrons who would like a tax waiver for their donation may get one at the main circulation desk, and patrons are responsible for determining the value of the items donated.
Mason City Woman's Club Book Sale Donations
The Mason City Woman's Club accepts donations of large amounts of books for their annual book sale that benefits the library. Their book sale and storage will be at a location separate from the library. Please contact Alberta Loveless, Mason City Woman's Club President, at 641.423.1091 for more information.
Magazine Exchange
Patrons can bring in up to twelve magazines for a free magazine exchange with other library patrons. Magazines need to be less than a year old and in good condition with no mold or mildew. The free magazine cart is located near the main entrance.
