Kids ages 8 and under will track their reading and activity progress by coloring snowflakes on a paper log. Once the log is complete, bring it back to the MCPL Youth Services desk to receive a book of your choice, a Godfather's mini pizza, a character on our Wall of Completion, and an entry into a drawing for prepaid Visa cards! 

 

Tweens ages 9 -11 can complete a Winter Challenge log. Completing 10 challenges will earn aone entry for a grand prize, completing all 15 will earn two entries! Once the log is completed it can be returned to the Youth Serivices desk for a free book to keep, a Godfather's mini pizza, and grand prize entry.

Starting on Monday, January 15th, stop at an adult circulation desk and pick up your BINGO card to participate in our winter reading program!

 

Fill in one or more rows on the BINGO card to be entered into a prize drawing of your choice. The prizes are listed on the back of your card and are also on display by the main desk. 

 

Join us for a CLUE scavenger hunt game beginning on Monday, January 15th. Game sheets can be picked up and returned to the main desk.

 

We will have two author talks during the winter reading program:

Darcy Maulsby - Lincoln Highway presentation on January 27th at 2:00 p.m.

Kathy Hotchkiss - Jefferson Highway presentation on February 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

 

Together Thursday programs and crafts including:

Game night on the 1st Thursday of the month

Coloring during the afternoon in the Commons on the 2nd Thursday of the month

Crafts on the 3rd Thursday of the month (January - Rock and Pebble Painting; February - Canvas Painting)

Creative writing on the 4th Thursday of the month.
